Risk disclosure

Effective 23 September 2026

Read this before you connect a brokerage or switch an agent to live. It is short because none of it is complicated.

01

You can lose everything

Trading securities, and any other instrument the Service may support, involves substantial risk of loss. You can lose all of the money in any account you connect. With margin, options, or leveraged instruments you can lose more than you deposited. Nothing about the Service reduces that risk.

02

The software acts without asking

An agent set to act on its own will place real orders on a schedule, while you are asleep, at work, or not looking. It does not check with you. If you did not want that, do not switch an agent to live, or set it to propose.

03

The model can be wrong

Agents are driven by language models. A model can misread a chart, misjudge a size, invent a fact, ignore an instruction, or act on data that is stale or wrong. It can do this confidently. A model that was right yesterday can be wrong today, and the same instruction can produce different actions on different days.

04

The model can disappear

Models are supplied by companies we do not control. A model can be slowed, rate-limited, changed, repriced, or withdrawn at any time, including mid-run. When that happens your agent may do nothing, do the wrong thing, or stop, and you will not necessarily be told in time to do anything about it.

05

Runs can be missed, late or repeated

We do not guarantee that an agent will run at any time, or at all. A missed run can mean a trade you wanted did not happen. A late run can mean a worse price. A repeated run is guarded against, not guaranteed against. Do not rely on a run happening at a particular moment.

06

Limits bound size, not correctness

Per-trade caps, daily caps, symbol lists and the kill switch limit how much an agent can do in one go. They do not make a strategy correct, stop a position from gapping against you overnight, or close anything. The kill switch stops new orders from the Service; it does not touch your brokerage.

07

Data can be wrong

Quotes and history are delayed, incomplete, and occasionally wrong. Agents act on them anyway. A bad quote can produce a bad order.

08

Past performance means nothing

Every figure on Discover, on a share page, or in your own history is a record of what one program did on one account over one period. It is not audited, not a projection, and not a promise. Programs that did well can do badly. Copying an agent copies its instructions, not its results.

09

Nobody here is your adviser

Traderunner is not a broker, an investment adviser, a fiduciary, or a signal service. Nothing on the Service, from us or from a model or from another user, is advice or a recommendation. If you need advice, get it from someone licensed to give it.

10

You are responsible

Every order placed from your account is yours, whether you approved it or an agent placed it inside limits you set. The losses are yours, the taxes are yours, and any regulatory consequence is yours.

11

Only risk what you can afford to lose

Start in paper. Stay in paper until you understand exactly what your agent does. If you go live, connect an account whose entire balance you could lose without it changing your life. Traderunner is preview software and can fail in ways nobody has seen yet.
