Terms of service

Effective 23 September 2026

Traderunner hosts and runs programs you write. It does not advise you, it does not promise the models will be there tomorrow, and it does not promise a run will happen. This document says that in full.

01

This agreement

These terms are a binding contract between you and Traderunner ("we", "us"). They govern the Traderunner website, the application, the execution engine that runs your agents, and everything else we provide under the Traderunner name (together, the "Service").

You accept them by ticking the box when you create an account, and again by continuing to use the Service after they change. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service. If you are using it for a company, you are accepting them for that company and you confirm you are allowed to.

They incorporate our Privacy Policy and our Risk Disclosure. Where those documents and these terms disagree, these terms win.

Please read section 3, section 5 and section 12 slowly. They are the ones that matter if something goes wrong.

02

What the Service is

Traderunner is hosting and execution infrastructure for software agents that you author. You write the instructions, choose the model, set the schedule, set the limits, and decide whether the agent may act on its own. We store that program, wake it when you told us to, hand its requests to the model and data sources you chose, enforce the limits you set, and record what happened.

That is the whole relationship. We are to your agent what a web host is to a website. We do not write your strategy, we do not pick your symbols, we do not decide when to buy or sell, and we do not look at your account to see whether what you built is a good idea.

Nothing changes that. Not the fact that the agent runs without asking you, not the fact that a model produced the reasoning, not the fact that a template or another user’s published agent was your starting point, and not anything we say in marketing.

03

What the Service is not

We want there to be no doubt about this, so we will say it plainly. Traderunner:

  • is not a broker-dealer — we do not hold your money, custody your securities, route or execute your orders, or have any account of yours. Your brokerage does all of that, under its own agreement with you.
  • is not an investment adviser — nothing on the Service is investment, financial, tax, legal or trading advice, and nothing is a recommendation, an offer, or a solicitation to buy or sell anything. That includes anything a model writes, anything on Discover, any template, any number, any chart, and anything we write.
  • is not a fiduciary — we owe you no duty of care, loyalty, suitability or best execution, and we are not managing, supervising or monitoring your account or your agents.
  • is not a commodity trading adviser, a fund, a signal service, or a copy-trading service — Discover shows programs other people wrote and the record of what those programs did on their own accounts. Copying one is your decision and your program from that moment on.
  • is not affiliated with any brokerage, exchange, model provider or data source — we are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or an agent of Robinhood or anyone else whose service you connect.
  • is not registered with any financial regulator — and does not need to be for what it does, which is to run software you wrote. If your use of the Service would require you to be registered or licensed, that is your obligation, not ours.

If you are looking for advice about what to do with your money, the Service is the wrong place to look for it, and you agree that you will not treat anything on it as such.

04

You are the operator

Every agent on your account is your program. Every instruction, limit, schedule, symbol list and model choice is yours. Every order an agent places is your order, placed by you, exactly as if you had typed it into your brokerage yourself. Automation does not move responsibility from you to us, to a model, or to the person who published the agent you copied.

You are responsible for understanding what your agent will do before you let it run, for the consequences of what it does, for keeping its limits appropriate to your circumstances, for the taxes on its trades, and for any regulatory obligation its trading creates for you.

You agree not to use the Service to trade money that belongs to anyone else, to manage anyone else’s account, or to provide advice or signals to anyone, unless you hold every licence and registration that requires and you have told us in writing.

05

Models, data and everything else we do not control

The Service depends on services that belong to other people. We do not control any of them and we make no promise about any of them.

  • Models — come from third-party providers. A model can be wrong, can invent facts, can misread a number, can ignore an instruction, can behave differently from one day to the next, and can be rate-limited, degraded, repriced, renamed, or withdrawn by its provider at any time, including in the middle of a run. When that happens your agent may do nothing, do the wrong thing, or stop. We do not warrant that any model is accurate, available, consistent, safe, or fit for trading, and a model being listed on the Service is not a statement that it is.
  • Market data — is delayed, incomplete, occasionally wrong, and comes from sources that owe you nothing. Your agents act on it anyway. A bad quote can produce a bad order.
  • Your brokerage — may reject, delay, partially fill, or cancel any order for its own reasons; may suspend or close your account; and may revoke the connection to the Service at any time. Its terms govern your account, not ours.
  • Tools you connect — webhooks, MCP servers, and any third-party service you attach to an agent are your choice and your risk. Data they return is untrusted and is treated as such, which is why an agent carrying one is limited to proposing orders when live. We do not review them.
  • Our own suppliers — the hosting, database, payment and email services listed in the Privacy Policy can fail, and when they fail we fail with them.

You agree that none of the above is a breach by us of anything.

06

No guarantee of availability, timing or execution

We do not promise that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or on time. We do not promise that any agent will run at any particular moment, or at all. Runs may be late, missed, repeated, cut off partway, or refused, by us, by a provider, by a data source, or by your brokerage.

A missed run can mean a trade you wanted did not happen. A late run can mean it happened at a worse price. A repeated run is guarded against, but not guaranteed against. You agree not to build anything, and not to rely on anything, that depends on a run happening at an exact time, or happening at all.

We may take the Service down, in whole or in part, for maintenance or for any other reason, with or without notice. There is no service-level commitment of any kind.

The kill switch stops the Service from placing further orders on your account. It does not close positions, cancel orders already at your brokerage, or reach into your brokerage in any way. If you need something to stop immediately, go to your brokerage.

07

No guarantee of results

Trading involves substantial risk, including the loss of everything you put in and, with margin or certain instruments, more than that. Nothing on the Service reduces that risk. Guardrails bound the size of an order and the spend in a day; they do not make a strategy correct, a model sound, or a market kind.

Every performance figure on the Service, wherever it appears, is a record of what a particular program did on a particular account over a particular period. It is not audited, not adjusted, not a projection, not a promise, and not indicative of what the same program will do tomorrow or on your account. Past results do not predict future results.

We do not warrant that any agent, template, skill, tool, model or strategy will make money, avoid losing money, or behave as described. If we ever appear to say otherwise, we did not mean it, and you agree not to rely on it.

08

Assumption of risk

By using the Service you confirm that you understand and accept all of the following:

  • you are allowing software to act inside a financial account, on a schedule, without asking you first, unless you configure it to ask;
  • that software is driven by a language model, which can misread a market, misjudge a size, and act on bad data;
  • a model or a data source can disappear or change at any time and take your agent’s behaviour with it;
  • a run can be missed, delayed or repeated;
  • you can lose all of the money in any account you connect;
  • you are the only person responsible for that outcome;
  • and you have read the Risk Disclosure.

You accept these risks knowingly, and you agree that you will not risk money you cannot afford to lose.

09

Eligibility and lawful use

You must be at least 18, or older if the law where you live requires it, and able to enter into a contract. You must not be a person or entity subject to sanctions, or located in a country subject to comprehensive sanctions, under the laws of the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or your own country.

The Service is available in many countries. Whether you may use it, whether you may trade what your agents trade, and whether your brokerage will serve you are matters of the law where you are, and you are responsible for knowing them. We do not represent that the Service is appropriate or lawful in any particular place, and we may refuse or withdraw it in any place at our discretion.

You agree that you will not:

  • use the Service to manage money for other people, or to provide investment advice or signals, without the licences that requires;
  • attempt to manipulate a market, trade on information you are not allowed to trade on, or use the Service for any trading that is unlawful where you are;
  • attempt to bypass a guardrail, a plan limit, a rate limit, the kill switch, or any other control;
  • publish an agent, tool or skill designed to mislead others about what it does or what it returned, or that carries anyone’s credentials or personal information;
  • attack, overload, probe, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing one;
  • or use the Service in any way that puts us, another user, a provider or a brokerage at risk.
10

Your account

You are responsible for your account and for everything done through it. Sign-in is by a link sent to your email address, so the security of that mailbox is the security of your account. Do not share your account, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has reached it.

Connecting a brokerage stores an encrypted token that lets the Service place orders on your account. You may revoke it at any time from the Service or from your brokerage, and you should if you have any doubt. We may revoke it at any time for any reason.

You may close your account at any time, from Settings or by writing to us. Closing it stops every agent, revokes every brokerage connection, and starts deletion of your data as the Privacy Policy describes. It does not cancel orders already at your brokerage.

11

Plans, credits and payment

Paper trading is free, subject to the daily allowance on the free plan. Paid plans are sold as a monthly subscription that includes a monthly allowance of credits, and extra credits can be bought at any time. A credit is the unit we meter model use in; what a run costs in credits depends on the model you chose and how much it thought. The current rates are on the pricing page, and they apply to you from your next renewal after they change.

  • Billing — is in advance, monthly, through Stripe, to the card you provide. Prices exclude tax; we add tax where the law requires and you are responsible for it.
  • Credits — have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or refunded. The free daily credits expire at the end of each day. Credits included with a paid plan last the billing period they come with and the one after it, then expire, whether or not your subscription continues. Extra credits you buy, and the credits you start with, never expire. Each day's free credits are spent first, then whichever credits expire soonest.
  • Running out — stops your agents from waking until you have credits again. Nothing is sold, nothing is closed, and your positions and history are untouched. Being stopped for lack of credits is not a breach by us of anything, whatever the market does while you are stopped.
  • Cancelling — takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. You keep what you paid for until then. We do not refund the remainder of a period, except where the law where you live gives you a right we cannot exclude.
  • Failed payment — moves your account to the free plan after a short grace period, which pauses any agent the free plan cannot run.
  • Withdrawal — if you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with a statutory cooling-off period, you ask us to begin providing the Service immediately when you subscribe, and you acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw once we have done so.
  • Price changes — we may change prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change affects a renewal, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
12

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable to you for any of the following, however it arises, whether in contract, tort, negligence, statute or otherwise, and even if we were told it might happen:

  • trading losses of any kind, including losses caused by an agent doing something you did not expect, by a model being wrong, by a data source being wrong, by a run being missed, late or repeated, or by a guardrail failing;
  • lost profits, lost opportunity, lost data, lost goodwill, or the cost of a substitute service;
  • anything done or not done by a model provider, a data source, a brokerage, a tool you connected, or any other third party;
  • any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential loss.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for everything arising out of the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period, or one hundred US dollars.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer law where you live.

13

No warranty

The Service is provided as is and as available, with all faults. We disclaim every warranty, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or that the Service will meet your needs or be free of errors, defects or harmful components.

No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Service, creates any warranty not stated here.

14

Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates, and our and their officers, directors, employees and contractors from every claim, loss, liability, cost and expense, including reasonable legal fees, that arises out of or relates to: your agents and what they did; your instructions and configuration; your trading; anything you published; your breach of these terms; your breach of any law or of any third party’s rights; or your use of the Service in any way.

15

What you publish

Nothing you build is visible to anyone until you publish it. When you publish an agent, tool or skill you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it through the Service, and you grant other users a licence to copy it into their own accounts and modify their copy.

Publishing shares the program and its record. It never shares your credentials, your positions, or your balances, and a shared tool arrives without its keys.

What you publish stays yours. You can unpublish at any time; copies other people already made remain theirs, and the record of what actually happened is not deleted by unpublishing.

You are responsible for what you publish. Do not publish anything you do not have the right to share, anything misleading, or anything that is advice or a solicitation. We may remove anything published, for any reason, without notice.

Published content is content from other users. We do not review, verify, endorse or recommend it, and its presence on Discover, at any rank, is not a statement by us about its quality or suitability.

16

Our content and your feedback

The Service, its software, design, documentation, templates and marks belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own account and nothing more.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

17

Suspension and termination

We may pause any agent, refuse any order, suspend or close any account, or withdraw the Service in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice, without liability to you. Reasons include, but are not limited to: a breach of these terms; a risk to the Service, to another user, or to us; a request or requirement from a regulator, a brokerage, a model provider, or a court; a change in the law; a change in what a provider will allow; or a decision to stop offering a feature or the Service.

If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of a period you have paid for. That is the only remedy for termination.

Sections 3 through 8 and 12 through 15, and any other term that by its nature should survive, survive termination.

18

Disputes

Talk to us first. Write to support@traderunner.dev with what went wrong, and give us 30 days to fix it before you start anything formal.

If that fails, you and we agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in the place where we are organised, rather than in court, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may seek an injunction to protect intellectual property.

You and we each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. Claims may be brought only in an individual capacity. An arbitrator may not consolidate claims or award relief to anyone but the individual party.

You may opt out of arbitration by writing to us within 30 days of first accepting these terms, stating that you opt out. If you do, or if the class waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be heard exclusively in the courts of the jurisdiction in section 19, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another place whose law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts and under your local law, nothing in this section takes that right away.

19

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the place where we are organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Subject to section 18 and to mandatory consumer law where you live, the courts of the place where we are organised have exclusive jurisdiction.

20

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When the substance changes we will give notice before the change takes effect, we will raise the version number, and the Service will ask you to accept the new version before you continue. The effective date and version at the top of this page always reflect the current terms. The current version is 3.

21

General

These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Risk Disclosure are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and replace anything earlier. If a part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor. Notices to you go to the email on your account; notices to us go to the address below. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, agency, employment or joint venture.

Trading risk

Trading involves substantial risk, including total loss of principal. Agents are driven by language models and can misread markets, misjudge size, and act on bad data. Models and data sources can change or disappear at any time. Performance shown anywhere in Traderunner comes from real recorded fills, is not audited, and never predicts future results. Every order placed from your account is yours. Trade money you can afford to lose.
